KATHARINE’S CONNECTIONS & CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE COMMUNITY

Katharine Kubichan is a leader in her community and has connections with key organizations. She has served several years promoting and helping to build local organizations.

Katharine committed 5 years to the La Jolla Town Council and was on the Board of Trustees for 3 years in the early to mid 90’s. She has been a member of the United Nations Association of San Diego for 5 years starting in the late’90’s and still sits on the Board of Directors for over 3 years now. Katharine was responsible, as director and chair, for the biggest annual fundraiser in the UN Association’s 45-year history. She has served on the marketing communications committee for the World Trade Center, San Diego, and played a key role in contributing to a new branding effort and revitalization of the organization’s image in the community in the mid 90’s.

She has led many fundraisers, including an Earth Day celebration, raising funds for Heal the Bay, in Los Angeles. She was also instrumental in raising funds and awareness for San Diego’s YWCA’s Center for Battered Women & Children. Katharine plans to become more involved with mentoring young adults in the years to come.
