Katharine Kubichan is a leader in her community and has connections
with key organizations. She has served several years promoting and
helping to build local organizations. Katharine
committed 5 years to the La Jolla Town Council and was on the Board
of Trustees for 3 years in the early to mid 90’s. She has
been a member of the United Nations Association of San Diego for
5 years starting in the late’90’s and still sits on
the Board of Directors for over 3 years now. Katharine was responsible,
as director and chair, for the biggest annual fundraiser in the
UN Association’s 45-year history. She has served on the marketing
communications committee for the World Trade Center, San Diego,
and played a key role in contributing to a new branding effort and
revitalization of the organization’s image in the community
in the mid 90’s.
She has led many fundraisers, including an Earth
Day celebration, raising funds for Heal the Bay, in Los Angeles.
She was also instrumental in raising funds and awareness for San
Diego’s YWCA’s Center for Battered Women & Children.
Katharine plans to become more involved with mentoring young adults
in the years to come.
