October 5, 2005 - Katharine Kubichan serves as the international marketing and communications advisor and as a Board member for the Art Miles Mural Project (AMMP), a UNESCO recognized project in support of the International Decade for a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence for the Children of the World.

AMMP has been recognized for its fresh and creative perspective and has recently been awarded The Earth Society Foundation Award in March 2006 by the United Nations Headquarters in New York City, is a nominee for the Americans for the Arts Public Arts Network Award in June 2006 and will be one of ten recipients of the Artists for Peace Award at the Montreux Jazz Festival in July 2006 and a part of the United Nations Art exhibition at that event.

Joanne Tawfilis, co-founder of AMMP, says “Katharine has been such a passionate supporter of this project from the beginning. She goes above and beyond her responsibilities as a board member, usually helping with any and every aspect of each project that comes our way.”
