Art Miles Shoes of Hope Reach Children in Uganda
Second Successful Delivery with the help of Mission Uganda

Art Miles Shoes of Hope has teamed up with 4 visionaries from Los Angles who are going to Uganda July 19, 2007 to support a magnificent visionary by the name of Clovis Ategeka. Clovis envisions a Uganda where Ugandans play a role in their own self-empowerment. With knowledge and education comes the power to transcend and prosper. The visionary team, Mission Uganda, led by Michael Blomsterberg, will be assisting in fulfilling this vision by helping Clovis open an internet cafe called the Vision Cafe.

Michael contacted our Art Miles team about how they could help Art Miles. Katharine Kubichan, our marketing and PR consultant, explained the mission of our Shoes of Hope project and the union was formed. "We are very honored to represent the Art Miles community outreach campaigns and help them achieve their global initiatives and goals. Our firm has worked with other non-profits in Bolivia and Zambia and now we have the opportunity to aid orphans in Uganda. The Art Miles Shoes of Hope is an amazing effort that truly brings children, adults, and organizations together in such a magical way. Thanks to Michael and his team, the Art Miles hand painted shoes and special messages from children here in the US will reach children in need in Africa," says Katharine Kubichan, President of Kubichan Communications.

Mission Uganda raised tens of thousands of dollars the past few months to help the creation and success of the cafe and help fund the shipping costs of the shoes. In addition, the Mission Uganda team will be personally hand delivering the Art Miles Shoes of Hope to orphanages along their path. Art Miles is honored to have such a dedicated team of individuals deliver the hand painted shoes to children in need. This collaboration represents another dream come true for everyone involved, especially all the children here in the US who carefully painted their symbols of peace and hope on the Shoes of Hope for kids in Africa.

The goal of the Vision Cafe is to offer services at subsidized prices, and will act as a source of supporting funds to this non-profit organization, Vision Force Uganda. Vision Force Uganda teaches vision, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills to the youth, which gives them the confidence after graduation to create their own jobs.

The vision of Vision Force Ugunda is

Pay it Forward: Clovis – Uganda

Our mission is to connect Ugandans to the global social community and to support their efforts of self-empowerment. With knowledge, education, and information comes wealth, prosperity, freedom, choice, mobility, inspiration, independence, empowerment, abundance, and more resourcefulness.

As Ugandans gain access to more visionary tools, it's just a matter of time before that spills out onto the rest of the world, allowing them to be even bigger examples and role models for themselves, their families, their co-workers, their community, country, and the rest of the world. This is about the bigger global picture. Their strength and prosperity benefits us all.
