Katharine Kubichan receives special honorary Award of Service and Excellence for her and her firm's dedication and commitment to the United Nations Association (UNA - San Diego)

Katharine Kubichan was presented with a special Award of Service and Excellence by United Nations Association - San Diego President Jim Van de Water at the 2005 first quarter board meeting open to the public for her dedication to the organization. "Katharine and her firm was awarded a contract to orchestrate and manage UNA's annual fundraiser. She brought in over $120,000 in donated services and funds for the organization and we had our best UN day ever in our 58 year history. She went beyond her contractual duties and gave us a fabulous event, helped UNA to build new business relationships in the community and truly gave from her heart," says President Jim Van de Water.

Katharine remains a board member, and chairs the Marketing, PR and Community Relations Committee for UNA-SD. She has sat on the Board since 1999 and has chaired San Diego's UN Day several times. Her firm also provides marketing and public relations for the San Diego Model UN Events, UNICEF events, UN Charter Day, and many other educational events that UNA supports or participates in.
