Katharine Kubichan helps build local brand presence of the San Diego chapter of the United Nations Association (UNA - SD)
SAN DIEGO - July, 2001 - Kubichan Communications LLC, a premier San Diego based marketing, public relations, and business development firm, today announced the decision by the United Nations Association - San Diego (UNA-SD) for Katharine Kubichan, to build a team and develop the strategic plans necessary to chair the United Nations Day Fundraiser, October 26th 2001, elevating the event and its exposure to a new level. Katharine Kubichan will provide business development support, creative event planning, on-line marketing, and brand positioning to launch the United Nations Association - San Diego UN Day 2001 in San Diego. For smaller based non-profits like the United Nations Association, reliable support, creative and cost effective event planning and proper positioning to sponsors, contributors and attendees are a key to an events success.

Strategic promotions and aligning with key sponsors will be a major factor in helping to cut costs and increase the revenues generated by fundraising efforts. The team of volunteers she will put together reduces the administrative costs tremendously, often a burden to smaller non-profits. The United Nations Association-USA is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded over a half-century ago. With main offices in New York City and Washington, there are almost 200 chapters nationwide; San Diego is the 6th largest. The San Diego Chapter (UNA-SD) was founded in 1946.
