CREATIVE AND ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS.
Kubichan Communications has led and been a team
player for numerous types of events. The ability to integrate the
events requirements and ultimate goals, synergistically, to unveil
a professional and successful event is a challenge and an achievement!

Some highlights are:
• United Nations Association
San Diego, San Diego, 2001, 2002
Volunteer and member of Board of Directors - Chair of 2001 San Diego
United Nations Annual Fundraiser. Directed all logistics for event,
including creating a committee of volunteers to assist me with each
area. Secured site and entertainment. Secured all sponsorships and
secured an international cuisine with food donated by over 15 high
end restaurants from all over San Diego. Most successful fundraiser
in the 45 year history. 2002 secured sponsorships and raffle items
for fundraiser.
• San Diego
Brazilian Carnival, San Diego, CA, 1995-2002
Consultant - From 1995-2000 helped promote event and sell tickets.
2001 Asked to be an investing partner and lead media relations and
obtain more valuable sponsorships. Reviewed all profit and loss
statements and helped re-evaluate costs of this annual event. Solicited
all interns and managed their work. Managed VIP room and stage managers.
Worked closely with the venue staff in setting up event.
• Qualcomm
and Globalstar Partner Key Customer events. Panamá, Nicaragua,
India, Brazil, México, France, Switzerland, US, 1997-2000
Employee - Worked with country specific QUALCOMM Globalstar Partners
to plan key customer events. Targeted specific industries and companies
that had a need for remote satellite telephone communications. Handled
all logistics with global partners. Planned events from start to
finish. Arranged for celebrities and VIP’s as part of “attractions”
to the event. Directed technical capabilities with global engineering
staff for satellite telephone demonstrations and live calls to exhibit
superior technology and satellite call quality before the service
launch.
• Tradeshows
– Domestic and international telecommunications shows (Qualcomm,
Corsair, Ericsson) 1997-2000, client shows (SEMA Show 2002, Lexus
Vendor Trade show 2002), Agricultural, Oil, Gas shows (Qualcomm/Globalstar
Central & South America), 1997-2000
Employee and Consultant - Planned start to finish or part of support
team for domestic and international trade shows. Responsibilities
have included securing booth space, shipping, booth layout and design,
graphic’s coordination and design, key customer alerts, creating
systems of follow up post show, etc.
• Street Scene,
San Diego, CA, 2000
Consultant - Managed 3 stages and 10 bands. Coordinated entertainers’
schedules, communications, sound checks, performances, electrical
and logistical needs.
• Qualcomm
Holiday Parties, San Diego, 1997-1999
Employee and Volunteer - On Committee of 5 members to organize holiday
party for 1500-3000 employees. Coordinated sponsorships, entertainment,
band and menu.
• San Diego Insights event,
San Diego, CA, 1996
Volunteer - Lead for all VIP volunteers and the VIP Corporate section
of the audience. Customer Service Lead for all CEO’s and VIP’s
for national corporation.
• Heal the Bay Fundraiser,
Los Angeles, CA, 1990
Volunteer - Created & led fundraiser for Heal the Bay on Earth
Day. Organized an 18-years-of-age and under, all-women’s crew
to outrigger canoe 13 miles in the Santa Monica Bay in order to
raise funds for Heal the Bay and raise awareness of ocean pollution.
Led all fundraising efforts. Wrote press releases. Led all media
outreach including TV coverage with Fox Channel, NBC and the Los
Angeles Times.
