Enhancing an organizations profile among its members, implementing and putting in place new systems for short and long term results, enhances the organizations image in the community.

Katharine Kubichan has committed her self for over a decade to various non-profits, government groups or campaigns. She has assisted or lead in careful planning, event or organization awareness and publicity.

• United Nations Association San Diego, CA, 1999-2003
Volunteer and Member of the Board of Directors - Chair of the Special Events Committee and Membership Committee. 2001 Fundraising Committee Chair. Directed all planning efforts and the volunteer committee. Directed and managed biggest and most profitable fundraiser in the history of the local chapter. 2003 Membership Co-Chair. Responsible for community outreach and education in San Diego about this local non-profit organization with the ultimate goal of increasing membership and awareness of our local and global efforts. Creating a public relations campaign for 2003.

• World Trade Center, San Diego, CA, 1997-1998
Volunteer and Member - Chair of the Marketing Communications Committee. Helped strategically better position The WTC San Diego within the business and academic community.

• La Jolla Town Council, La Jolla, CA, 1993-1998
Office Volunteer, Trustee and Board of Directors - Assisted with office administration and local political issues. Contributed to local committee communications, agenda, resolutions, meeting minutes. Helped coordinate local events including the La Jolla Business Sundowners networking events monthly, La Jolla Art Festival in the fall, Holiday Parade and Art Festival and other holiday or special community related events. Assisted with communications between the Town Council and Promote La Jolla, San Diego City Council, Congresspersons, University of California, San Diego, and business members and residents of La Jolla.

• National Women’s Political Caucus, San Diego, CA, 1997
Volunteer and Member - Chair of the Young Women’s Task Force. Responsible for outreach to young women to encourage involvement with the NWPC and women politicians and their political campaigns. Created goals and implemented tasks to increase membership and educate young women about politics, political issues that effect women (regardless of party lines) and to teach them to give back to the community in the political area.

• World Affairs Council, San Diego, CA, 1994-1996
Volunteer and Member - Participated in local events. Contributed to marketing and special event coordination including special conferences or speaking opportunities for visiting business executives, ambassadors, etc.

• Senator Feinstein, United States Senate Campaign in Los Angeles, 1992, Campaign in San Diego, 1994, Staff Assistant, 1994
Volunteer and Employee - Assisted with numerous administrative campaign efforts. Helped organize residential home fundraisers among the democratic community in Los Angeles and San Diego. Responsible for gathering all media coverage news clippings and competitive research for Orange Count and San Diego. Responsible for communications with the local Democratic Headquarters, and Feinstein’s Sacramento and Washington DC Offices regarding any constituent campaign feedback. Represented Senator in her absence at local events. Researched and handled communications with Sacramento office regarding constituent’s cases.
